The Level 3 Software Engineer will design and develop a modernized version of a legacy application performing data translation and forwarding for a key mission capability. The redesigned application will be part of the program's modernized system architecture and be deployed to multiple operational locations. Tier 3 operational support will be required for legacy through transition and new application operations.​

Required education/skills: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or related plus 20 years of experience. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Experience developing/refactoring applications in C++ and Python
- Experience with socket-based streaming applications and data formats
- Experience containerizing applications with Docker
- Experience with Kubernetes configuration and Helm chart development
- Experience with Linux-based operating systems and command-line interfaces
- General understanding of RF satellite communications and signal processing​
