The VDI Systems Engineer shall have the following responsibilities:
• Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
• Processes escalated user issues from service desk/desktop support teams
• Demonstrates high responsiveness for technology issues, security compliance, and SLA attainment
• Drives problems to root cause through partnership with engineers, ensuring knowledge is captured for future events
• Develops software configuration management standards and performs data de-identification and provisioning
• Documents and tracks hardware and software configuration, migration, testing, and deployment solutions
• Provides user support for an enterprise-level environment hosting hundreds of thousands virtual desktops published via Citrix XenDesktop with VMware as hypervisor
• Has experience working in large-scale infrastructure
• Is able to build a strong background in Citrix, XenDesktop, Desktop Delivery Controllers (DDCs), VMWARE, ESXi, and Windows Operating Systems
Requirements:
- TS/SCI with FS Poly
- Microsoft Windows System Administration
- Proven Ability to Work Independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex storage issues
- CompTIA Security+ CE.
- Bachelor's Degree plus 14 years technical experience (five years technical experience can be substituted for degree).
